Unsung Hero Keith Kuboyama
Keith is the President and CEO of Family Programs Hawaiʻi. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty five years of experience working in the foster care and adoption field. Prior to working with FPH, he was a social worker with Casey Family Programs for sixteen years. In his private practice, Keith enjoyed working with foster and adoptive families. He has presented at various workshops and conferences locally and on the mainland on various topics, primarily in the area of “attachment” and developmental trauma. Keith loves working with children and teens and continues to volunteer his time at camps and events.

Youth Advocate of the Year Genshu Price
Genshu is the 16-year old founder of Bottles4College, an award winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that collects recyclable cans and bottles to help protect the planet and help fund college scholarships for kids in Hawaii. Genshu has partnered with over 30 businesses, such as Kualoa Ranch, Outrigger Hotels, and Bishop Museum as an official recycling partner. Bottles4Collegge has granted $43,500 to a total of 9 Hawaii high school graduates and 50+ hours of environmental education outreach through booths at community events and speaking at events and classrooms, along with granting over 100+ hours of community service hours to Hawaii students.

Innovator Gizelle Rodrigues
Gizelle is a recent high school graduate on Maui and will be attending University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoain Fall 2024. During her senior year, Gizelle created a non-partisan civics club with the goal of introducing high schoolers to local politics and uplifting youth voice. Gizelle has taught her peers how to submit testimony, stay updated on legislation, and connected them to county council members. Gizelle recently began a 2-year term as a Hawaii State Youth Commissioner. With the leadership roles she has gained, Gizelle’s goal is to encourage youth to be involved and engaged with politics in order to improve life in Hawaiʻi.
