Join us for this year’s Champions for Children event! Support HCAN’s work to ensure all keiki are healthy, safe, and ready to learn, and celebrate this year’s Champions for Children award winners.

The event will feature live music, a three-course meal, superhero-themed cocktails, and a special award presentation. There will also be an online and live, in-person auction. Come together with fellow advocates for keiki for HCAN’s first in-person event since 2020 and support HCAN’s vital mission.

Event details

The cocktail hour and live music begins at 5:30 pm, and dinner begins at 6:30 pm. The program will end at 8:30 pm. Aloha attire is recommended.

Attendees each get one drink ticket and can choose between three dinner options:

  • Salmon, Citrus Butter, Lobster Fennel Fondue, Swiss Chard, Watermelon Radish
  • Short Rib, Kahuku Corn, Maitake Mushroom, Ho Farm Tomato Confit, Madeira Sauce
  • Vegetarian: Eggplant, Variation of Squash and Zucchini, Mitake Mushroom, Tomato Fondue, Trofie Pasta

Each of those entrées comes with an Heirloom Quinoa Salad (Frisee, Beet Ribbon, Lemon Parsley Dressing, Goat Cheese) and dessert (Meyer Lemon Crème Fraiche Panna Cotta with Mixed Berries, Macadamia Nut Pavlova).

Additionally, during the cocktail hour, there will be specially themed cocktails and passed appetizers: Spring Roll (Vegan; Micro Cilantro, Pickled Ginger “Aioli”), Scallop Tartare (Miso Mustard, Maui Onion, Shiso), and Shrimp Toast (Kauai Shrimp, House Pickles, Basil Aioli).

Parking is not hosted, but is available at the Sheraton Waikiki (self-parking) or the Royal Hawaiian (valet).

COVID-19 policy

To protect public health and the safety of event attendees, all attendees must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination ahead of the event. To further mitigate risk by ensuring sufficient fresh air and ventilation, the event’s cocktail hour will be held outdoors on the lawn. The dinner will be held in the ballroom with the doors open.
